Dakota Child and Family Clinic (DCFC) Temporarily Reduces Service Hours
DCFC will reduce clinical operations on Thursday, August 31, 2023 at 5 p.m.
BURNSVILLE MN — Dakota Child and Family Clinic Board President, Jackie Craig, released the following statement to announce the temporary reduction of clinical operations at DCFC. In addition, the October fundraiser has been canceled.
“On Saturday, August 26 the DCFC Board made the difficult, but necessary decision to reduce clinic operations beginning on August 31 while we work to find solutions to a financial shortfall.”
For over a decade DCFC has provided care in the way we believe healthcare should be. Taking time with our patients to truly know them, providing care coordination and wrap-around care, supporting not just our patients’ medical needs, but also their social determinants of health, providing free education and support to our community, and training the healthcare providers of the future. Sadly, our healthcare and insurance systems aren’t made to support primary care being done this way.
Kelly Kenley, DCFC Executive Director shared, “Being a part of this community is such an honor and we truly hope this isn’t the end of the DCFC story. Healthcare should always be for people, not for profit.”
